🚒✨ It’s that time of year again! ✨🚒

Sonoma Valley Fire District is excited to kick off our annual Fire Prevention Week school tours beginning this week and wrapping up next week.

We’re also thrilled to introduce our newest team member — Freddie the Fire Truck! 🚒👋 Freddie will be joining us on school visits to help teach kids about fire safety in a fun and memorable way.

This year’s Fire Prevention Week runs October 5–12 and highlights an important safety topic: lithium-ion batteries in your home. From e-bikes and scooters to phones and laptops, these batteries power so much of our daily lives — but they also bring unique fire risks if not handled safely.

During our tours, students will meet our firefighters, learn about fire safety, and get to know Freddie the Fire Truck, too! 🧯👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

We’ll conclude our school tours with our annual Open House on Sunday, October 5th, from 11am to 2pm at Station 1 — a great way for the whole community to join in Fire Prevention Week and connect with your local fire district. ❤️
