Fire Protection & Emergency Services

The Sonoma Valley Fire District is an all-risk fire department, committed to protecting life, property, and the environment across our communities. Our firefighters are trained and equipped to respond to every type of emergency — including structure and wildland fires, hazardous materials incidents, rescues, disasters, and medical emergencies.
We are proud to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service, and every fire engine in the District is staffed with licensed paramedics, ensuring the highest level of pre-hospital care reaches patients quickly. This dual capability means our residents and visitors benefit from both immediate medical expertise and comprehensive fire protection at every call.

Beyond emergency response, we deliver a full suite of fire prevention and community risk reduction programs — including code enforcement, defensible space inspections, and public education — designed to make our community safer and more resilient.
Whether answering a single medical call or mobilizing to a major disaster, the Sonoma Valley Fire District stands ready as an all-hazards emergency service provider, delivering professional, compassionate, and effective service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
