5 for the Hooker Creek Bridge replacement. As part of the Sonoma and Hooker Creek replacement project, Caltrans will close State Route 12 (SR-12) between Madrone Road and Caliente Road for a maximum of 30 days to allow for crews work to demolish and rebuild the Hooker Creek Bridge. The bridge is located northwest of Sonoma City, in the Springs area of Sonoma County, named after Hot Water, Fetter Hot Springs and Boise Hot Springs.
⚠️ Passing traffic will be diverted around the closed bridge by Madrone Road, Arnold Drive and Agua Caliente Road. (See the map of the detour ) Local traffic will be allowed until the bridge is closed.
⚠️ ATTENTION: The closure of this bridge will cause difficulties in case of evacuation. If you live near this closure, please plan an evacuation route now to avoid it. This is especially important if you live in the SON-6F1 area (Cavedale Road).

-A continuous set of three loud beeps—beep, beep, beep—means smoke or fire. Get out, call 9-1-1, and stay out.
-A single chirp every 30 or 60 seconds means the battery is low and must be changed.
-Chirping that continues after the battery has been replaced means the alarm is at the end of its life and the unit must be replaced.
-All smoke alarms must be replaced after 10 years.
-Make sure your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms meet the needs of all your family members, including those with sensory or physical disabilities.

A message from the Sonoma Volunteer Firefighter’s Association -

The Sonoma Volunteer Firefighter’s Association is pleased to announce the planned installation of an LED Public Safety Sign(s). This project has been made possible through grant funding made available from Sonoma County Board of Supervisors and Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). A special thank you to Susan Gorin-Board of Supervisor-District 1 for supporting and spearheading the funding for this project.

These signs will provide essential information to our communities and visitors. The signage will be placed in high visibility areas and will allow special messaging from the fire department, emergency managers, and the county. Providing accurate and relevant information is essential and was an opportunity realized during the 2017 fires.

The signs will be used to provide information on; critical fire weather(Red Flag warnings), Public Safety Power Shut-offs (PSPS), evacuations during emergencies (available routes/closures) and other critical public safety information and warnings.

The signs will have the ability to be programmed remotely via the internet using computers / smartphones. Signage will remain operational during power failures as stations are equipped with emergency generators.
